Theater Bug presents the world premiere of Megg the Egg by Huck Paisley, a fun and whimsical comedy about the magic of cooking, the worries of overprotective parents, and the importance of following your dreams.

Megg the Egg is the story of a young girl born with an eggshell who wants to leave home to see the world and become a chef, but her overprotective family is convinced she's too fragile. With the help of her loyal best friend, she concocts a plan to achieve her culinary dreams - only to discover they might not be all they're cracked up to be.
Huck Paisley is a talented young playwright who has created a unique and engaging story that is both entertaining and thought-provoking. Megg the Egg is directed by Nate Eppler, with set design brought to you by Will Butler and costume design by Melodie Madden Adams.
Each year, The Theater Bug supports one young writer by providing them with the opportunity to develop a new play and see it produced live on stage at The Theater Bug. As the Theater Bug Playground Playwright, Huck received guidance and professional mentorship every step of the way through development, rewrites, casting, rehearsal, and production.
The play is produced by Theater Bug Managing Artistic Director Cori Anne Laemmel and Nate Eppler, Director of The Playground, who worked closely with the playwright to bring the play to life on stage.
