Pop Upright Shakespeare #5 at Tennessee State Museum

Directed by Nat McIntyre

Eight directors will stage lively "Upright" readings of the Bard's plays at locations in and around Nashville. The title of the play will be kept secret until the play begins, but each will be a rare opportunity to hear one of Shakespeare's great and lesser-known plays. This play reading is directed by Nat McIntyre. Nat received his MA from The Old Globe at The University of San Diego. In New York City, he worked and taught with Epic Theater Ensemble and various regional theaters, and started his TV and film career with roles on Law & Order: CI, The Good Wife, & Elementary. He produced his own play, “Jester’s Dead: A Top Gun Shakesparody” at The Pit and spent a year on Broadway in the Tony Award-winning production of War Horse. In Nashville, he has acted and directed with the Studio Tenn, Nashville Shakespeare Festival, Actors Bridge Ensemble, Nashville Repertory Theatre, Verge Theatre Company, and Pipeline Collective, and taught at Lipscomb, Belmont, TSU, and Trevecca.
