EVENT DETAILS

Fall is upon us!  Come out and enjoy an early display of fall colors on this Intermediate Backpacking trip to Eagle’s Bluff.   Our trips starts with three (3) miles of rolling terrain, leading to a beautiful waterfall at Bruce’s Gap.  We then take switchbacks 1000 ft up Cumberland Mountain, to a rock formation called the Devil’s Racetrack, with a stunning view of the Powell River Valley.

The remainder of our day is six (6) miles of rolling terrain, with several rock features including two “Great Walls of China,” and a picture window.  We should have stunning view throughout our hike, with peak fall colors.  We will stop at Eagle’s Bluff for another view of the valley, before pushing on to a Shelter for the evening.  On day two, we will finish 2.5 miles of trail, and drop 1000 ft of elevation back to the valley floor.
