Your Adventure Starts Here!

Is one of your New Year's resolution to START RUNNING? Or maybe you are training to run the Ragnar Tennessee Relay 2017? Well, Team Green is here to help! Join Team Green Adventures on a series of three greenway runs. We'll run between 3 to 6 miles on beginner friendly routes. Come alone, or bring friends to run with you! For this run we will be doing the scenic Stones River Greenway from the Kohls Parking Lot to the Dam and back (approximately 5.8 miles). If you do not want to do the full route you may choose to turnaround at any point to make the run as long as you are comfortable running. It's important to stay hydrated when running, so please drink plenty of water during the day before your run. Come dressed in layers that you can tie around your waist if you get too hot. Bring a hydration pack or water bottle you can carry with you (or have some cold water waiting for you in your car when you finish). Also bring a post run snack (crackers, fruit, nutrition bars, etc) to regulate blood pressure/blood sugar levels. Wear proper running shoes (no flip flops or sandals). If you are an experienced barefoot runner, please let your trip leader know.

This event is inspired by the training goals for Lightning 100's RAGNAR Relay Team and other Ragnarians in the Greater Nashville Area. RAGNAR Relay Tennessee is a 200(ish) mile relay-style running event in which 12 teammates take turns running, day and night, across Middle Tennessee. Each teammate will run exactly three times, completing 3-5 miles each time on average (see distances). During the night time hours, teammates wear headlamps, red blinking lights, and refelctive vests.

Not yet a RAGNAR runner? Get to know other RAGNAR runners and learn more about the event. Sometimes teammates have to cancel last minute and existing teams need last-minute fill ins. Who knows, just maybe you'll become a Ragnarian afterall!

Please RSVP for this event below in order to receive reminders and weather updates from the trip leader.
