Summer Shakespeare: August Wilson's Gem of the Ocean
Set in 1904 in the Hill District of Pittsburgh, Gem of the Ocean is part of August Wilson's decade by decade cycle of plays about the Black American experience in the twentieth century.

FREE General Admission ($10 Suggested Donation per Person). Bring a blanket or chair to sit on. Blankets can sit closest to the stage, bleachers provided in the rear. Blanket space is lmited, so arrive early for best availability.
Food & beverages available on site, or bring your own picnic. Alcoholic beverages available at the Kindred and Element bars benefit Nashville Shakespeare Festival. No outside alcohol permitted.

5:30pm - Food vendors open & “Insight" featuring scholars from local universities in Sump Coffee.
6:00pm - Pre-show entertainment featuring Nashville musicians and entertainers.
7:00pm - Curtain
