Middle Tennessee is notorious for being a hot bed for seasonal allergies. Essentially, we sit in a bowl bordered by mountains, rivers, and plateaus. Among the most common allergens are pollen and pollutants, but those aren't the only seasonal allergies we experience. As outdoorists, we've probably all experienced forms of skin allergies from plants and bugs, too.

Allergy symptoms are NOT limited to runny noses and sneezing. Sinus pressure, headaches, sinus swelling, dry/itchy skin, rashes, fatigue, and brain fog are also allergy symptoms that could be confused with other causes, like the common cold. At this month's Wellness Workshop, learn from the experts at Allergy, Asthma & Sinus Center how to recognize common Tennessee Allergy symptoms, causes, testing, and treatment options.

Are you sick of loading up on medication to treat your symptoms? Understand why your body reacts to certain allergens, and discover new options to improve your health! Come with questions about your own allergy concerns and take full advantage of the Q&A session after the presentation with a Certified Board Allergist!

The American Cancer Society (ACS) is a national organization, but did you know that each local chapter focuses specifically on the needs of our local community, and money raised by the local chapter helps to meet these local outreach goals? Need a ride to treatment? Or lodging and travel help? Your local ACS office is here to help with the challenges of dealing with cancer.

One of these offers by our local ACS chapter is Hope Lodge, which provides housing/lodging free of charge for adult cancer patients and one caregiver. The Hope Lodge is available to adult cancer patients who need to travel to Nashville for outpatient treatment. It has 41 guest rooms, dining, kitchen and living areas. Hope Lodge is the host location for our 2015 Wellness Workshop Series.

Open to Team Green members and Non-members. RSVPs will help us anticipate attendance.
