The STAND Project
STAND is the true story of Johnny "JJ" Ellis who spent three drug-addicted decades on the streets of Nashville, and a Good Samaritan who stepped up to help him. The play is directed by David Compton. "JJ" is played by Barry Scott and the Good Samaritan is played by Chip Arnold.

The STAND Project

Nashville's theatre community "STANDS" against homelessness and addiction!

Some of Nashville's favorite theatre organizations will be presenting STAND at venues around Nashville to help raise awareness not only about the plight of the homeless but also about those who have found their way to the street through addiction. A portion of the proceeds from each presentation of STAND will be donated to the JJ Ellis foundation at 'Room In The Inn'. These funds will be used to help others who are broken, like JJ, through no fault of their own.
