Founded in 2003 and inspired by the British New Wave of improv, The Oxford Imps have rapidly become one of the most successful improvised comedy groups in the UK. Made up of a rotating cast of students at Oxford University, the Imps are a highly trained group of all-round improvisers: every show is a fast-paced, inventive and hilarious mix of scenes, songs, raps and games, culminating in a full improvised play or musical. The Imps have kept their distinctive British improv fresh over the years: they play a weekly residency show in Oxford, and also create fun interactive theatre, from lavish Alice in Wonderland parties to Shakespeare-themed celebrations and murder mystery dinners. The Imps play the full run of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe every year and have sold out the run a number of times. They have played throughout Europe and toured to the US twice before. The Imps are delighted to be returning to Nashville, and the beautiful Belcourt Theatre.
