ACT 1
ACT 1 (Artists' Cooperative Theatre) is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing theatrical gems - both classical and modern - to Nashville audiences.

Now in its twenty-fourth season, ACT 1 has presented productions of more than one hundred of the world's greatest plays. ACT 1 continually receives high praise from critics and audience members alike, and its productions and performers are recipients of multiple prizes and awards. ACT 1 performs in the intimate Darkhorse Theatre.

ACT 1 believes that the most important function of theatre is to describe and comment upon the human condition, to examine the tragedy and comedy of what we are, and perhaps to suggest what we ought to become. Drama which evolves out of this function fulfills the highest purpose of the theatre. It provides for the type of meaningful examination that must survive as a major part of theatre.

Toward that end, Act 1 concentrates its focus upon the presentation of classical theatre, modern and otherwise, and the creation of an appreciation for and love of this work through education.

Doors open 30 minutes prior to showtime.

Venue Information
All performances are held at the Darkhorse Theatre located at 4610 Charlotte Avenue in Nashville, TN.

Directions
Take exit 205 from I-40 west of Nashville and turn onto 46th Avenue North (This will be a left turn if you are coming from the East or a right turn if you are coming from the West). Turn right on Charlotte Avenue. The Darkhorse Theatre will be located on your right, across the street from McDonalds.

Parking
Free, convenient and safe parking is available in the SunTrust Bank parking lot at the corner of 46th and Charlotte Avenue.

All seats are General Admission. Seating is on a first come first served basis.
