WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT CAVING
Everyone interested in carpooling may meet at the designated area (included in confirmation email) at 11am the day of the trip. Participants planning to drive straight to the caverns should meet at the gift shop by 1pm. A helmet and helmet light are provided. Knee pads and gloves are recommended but not required. Participants should wear sturdy boots that lace up. It is recommended that the boots provide ankle support.
The smallest crawling area is 11 inches high. Participants should have a chest size of 48 inches or smaller to make it though this space.
Plan to spend approximately 3 hours in the cave with an hour extra for gearing up and instruction before entering the cave. Anyone interested in going out to dinner after as a group should make sure their carpool group has the same plans. Bring a change of clothes!
