ABOUT ROCK ISLAND

Rock Island State Park is a very unique park featuring numerous rock formations with swimming holes, and is located one and a half hours southeast of Nashville. The scenic beauty of this wooded park is dominated by the Great Falls of the Caney Fork River. It provides scenic overlooks, waterfalls and deep pools for fishing, rock-hopping and exploring. The park offers weekend planned activities and features swimming areas, hiking trails, biking trails, playgrounds, basketball hoops, nature center, and boat ramps.

The park has four hiking trails, with the gorge area below the dam being the most popular.

ABOUT THE TRIP

This is a two night trip. Participants may choose to come on Saturday night only, but the price does not change (park requires 2 night minimum on all reservations). You are encouraged to bring your canoes/kayaks. Motorized boats also allowed. There is a boat launch for Center Hill Lake accessible within the park.

I'm registering for my own tent, what does that mean? If you mind sharing your site and plan to bring 4 people or less, register with this option. Participants who register with this option will share a site with at least one other tent not in your order.

I'm registering for my own site, what does that mean? If you have a large group, know you'll want lots of space to yourself, or plan to bring 3 tents, register for your own site. There will be no other tents on your site except for the ones you put up, and your site will still be in the same area as the rest of the group. The price includes 4 people per site. If you plan to bring 5 or more people, please pay an extra $2 per additional person (maximum of 9 people per site).
